#5 KOREA // Cafe Breezin at Samcheong-dong
After you are done with Gyeongbokgung palace, remember to exit at the east side, which is near the folk museum. Across the road and walk down the small street, where you will quickly sense a different mood as compared to the palace.
You will start to see cafes, small boutiques and accessories shops. Korea shopping is generally for girls and for the guys, it’s just about soaking in the environment. If you are lost, you can always approach those people in red hats. If you see them around, you are most probably at somewhere touristy.
You will find yourself at Samcheong-dong as you walk down the street of cafes and shops. If you are as indecisive as myself, you will find yourself having a tough time deciding which cafe to walk into. There are a lot of choices available and as a tourist, you only have one try to this.
EAT : My one try is down for Cafe Breezin. The reason is simple. At Samcheong-dong, you should choose those cafes on the higher ground rather than the lower one. I think that’s a personal preference and part of the uniqueness of this place.
There is always time for “lazy time” and this cafe makes it simple. I would say there isn’t anything outstanding about this cafe. It’s decent. However, a drink at a cafe after lunch is definitely required in your itinerary. Take chances and have a rest because there is more walking to be done, especially at a place like Samcheong-dong.
